The ICE is constantly developing its structure expanding the field of activity.

Faculty of Distance Learning:

Specialty – “Prevention and Elimination of Emergencies”;

Faculty of Retraining and Professional Development:

“Industrial Safety”;

“Safety Engineering of construction objects;

Graduate:

Specialty – “Prevention and Elimination of Emergencies”;

Adjuncture:

Specialties: Fire and Industrial Safety; Safety in emergencies

At the Institute functions the Council on dissertations in the field of:
“Fire and Industrial Safety (on branches Construction, Industry, Transport) (technical sciences);
“Safety in Emergencies (on branches Industry, Construction, Forestry) (technical sciences).

Scientific research and teaching activity is carried out by the section of scientific research and by 8 chairs.

The Training Fire and Rescue Station is used for practicing received skills.

On the basis of institute is created and functioned Information and Library Centre of the Ministry for Emergency Situations which provides all categories of users with electronic data bank.
