Expert Activity

The institute carries out expert and consulting activity on support of fire safety:
- Working out of passports of fire safety (audit);
- Working out of documents of system of fire-prevention norms and standardization, rules of technical operation;
- Working out of actions of systems of prevention of  fire and fire-prevention protection;
- Calculations in the field of fire safety.

By employees of the ICE are developed 16 technical legal statutory acts, including 6 standards with European identification degree of conformity (Euro code, parts 1-2).

At the institute functions the Test laboratory accredited for carrying out following kinds of tests:

1. Indicators of fire and explosive danger of substances and materials:
- combustibility group;
- temperature of flash and ignition temperature;
- factor of smoke formation;
- definition of fireproof properties of coverings and impregnation  structures;
- test on flammability.

2. Definition of indicators of fire danger of cable products:
- a limit of distribution of burning by a single cable (wire);
- a limit of distribution of burning by a bunch of cables (wires);
- a limit of fire resistance;
- current and time characteristics of fire danger.
