About the Institute
The state educational establishment «Institute for Command Engineers» of the Ministry for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus (ICE) is a leading higher school in the field of fire safety and protection against emergencies in the Republic of Belarus.
The Institute is a member of the European association of universities offering education and training of personnel in the field of prevention and elimination of natural and man-made emergencies and Civil Defense (European Fire Service Colleges Associations – EFSCA).
The history of the educational establishment begins from the 27th of September 1933. On the base of the Fire Brigade of Minsk was opened the Fire Technical School to train commanding staff for fire protection. Later on, the educational establishment was reorganized more than once. In 1992 it was transformed to the higher educational establishment which has been called “Institute for Command Engineers” of the Ministry for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus since 2000.
During all periods of its functioning, the Institute prepared more than 25 thousands specialists Since 2002, the Institute has an experience in teaching citizens of the Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Russian Federation and Turkmenistan.
The quality of rendered services is confirmed by the certificates according to the requirements of STB ISO 9001: 2009 and DIN EN ISO 9001:2008.
